Organisation
The Institute “Konzilijum” consists of three organization units:
- Biochemistry Laboratory
- Microbiology Laboratory
- Pathohistology Laboratory
Biochemistry organisation unit determines the parameters from the following fields: clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, toxicology, serology, endocrinology, oncology. It is equipped with the most modern systems of the leading world producers: Siemens (BAYER-ADVIA 120, DPC-IMMULITE 1000), Roche (COBAS 6000, HITACHI 902), Sismex (CA 1500, XP-2000i, XS-1000), Olympus (OLYMPUS 400), ZEISS (AXIOSKOP 2+) and the other, smaller systems necessary for the laboratory work. Backup is provided for each analyser (including the redundant and constant electricity from the big capacity aggregate). Therefore, any kind of stoppage during the working process is practically eliminated. These systems are connected to the information system with two-way communication marking the samples with bar codes; thus, there is absolute supervising the working process and elimination of any mistakes in making the demands and writing down the results. By using the above mentioned reagents and the other leading world producers, the wide range of methods is applied- from the usual agglutination to the very sophisticated ones, such as EIA, ECLIA, etc.
Microbiology organisation unit determines all the bacteriology, mycology andparasitologyparameters from urine, faeces, blood, sputum and the other biological material. The unit is equipped with all the necessary systems and disposable throwaway material; therefore, the acquired results are completely reliable. As the premises are regularly checked, any kind of contamination is virtually excluded.
Pathohistology organisation unit has the equipment which enables the standard histopathological diagnostics, including “EX TEMPORE”. Cytogenetic diagnostics is especially important among the other analyses in Konzilijum; currently it includes cariotype of peripheral blood and marrow, the analyses of amnion liquid and the other cytogenetic parametres.
